HOW OFTEN DO YOU NEED TO TEST YOUR VEHICLE?

Almost all vehicles are subject to test twice a year.

 

WHAT ARE THE DEADLINES FOR MY VEHICLE’S TESTING?

The compliance deadlines are available in the Owner’s Clean Truck Check-Vehicle Inspection System (CTC-VIS) account for each vehicle. Be sure to log in with your login information. Once logged in, click on “my entity” and scroll down to “test details”. You will find your recommended test type for your vehicle, testing frequency, and your test due date.

 

WHO IS AUTHORIZED TO CONDUCT CLEAN TRUCK CHECK EMISSIONS COMPLIANCE TESTING ON MY VEHICLE?

Compliance testing must be carried out by a CARB-certified tester who has completed CARB’s free online Tester Training Course and achieved a minimum score of 80 percent on the related exam.

 

WHERE CAN I LOCATE CREDENTIALED TESTERS NEAR ME?

Credentialed Testers is a searchable database that offers a list of available testing locations and testers, along with information on whether they conduct OBD testing.
